Mission Statement

Texas Death Penalty Education and Resouce Center (TDPERC) facilitates coalition work around the issue of the death penalty. In Texas we work with several state-based organizations, including Texas Students Against the Death Penalty, Texas Moratorium Network, Campaign to End the Death Penalty, the Texas Death Penalty Abolition Movement, the Texas Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty, the March to Stop Executions Coalition and other groups. We also work nationally with the youth group Students Against the Death Penalty, as well as Murder Victims Families for Human Rights and the Journey of Hope, among others.

Texas Death Penalty Education and Resource Center's purpose is to end capital punishment in Texas by educating the public and policymakers about the death penalty.

Texas Death Penalty Education and Resource Center is a 501 (c) (3) organization that works to educate the public about the death penalty in Texas.

TDPERC co-sponsors the "Anti-Death Penalty Alternative Spring Break", the "8th Annual March to Stop Executions", "Justice for All?: Artists Reflect on the Death Penalty", an annual art show and other programs.
