CAWHC supports the research, writing, teaching, preservation and dissemination of Chicago women's history through academic scholarship and public programs.

CAWHC is a vital network of academic historians, archivists, teachers, librarians, media professionals, activists and others interested in studying and sharing Chicago women's history. Founded in 1971, it is a non-profit volunteer organization that conducts research and presents public programs.
