HELP OUT: Drive Thru Diaper Distribution

Since the COVID-19 pandemic started, Miracle Babies has been hosting diaper distributions open to all San Diego County residents in need of diapers. The diapers are free and help reduce the financial burden and stress that often comes with needing to purchase diapers. During the first shift volunteers will unload the diapers and supplies and set up for the distribution. This group will start the distribution which includes placing diapers and other items directly into recipients' vehicles. During the second shift, the incoming volunteers will take over the distribution and help with breaking down boxes and cleaning up/tearing down the event. Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes Attire: Closed-toe shoes with comfortable lightweight clothing that can get a little dirty. Star Wars themed costumes/accessories are encouraged. The distribution takes place outdoors with little or no shade. Bring: Water and sun protection such as a hat and sunscreen. Physical Requirements: Bending, lifting up to 20lbs standing and walking throughout the duration of the distribution Note: There is no restroom at this project location. HELP OUT: Miracle Babies 15th Annual Superhero 5K

Miracle Babies' 15th annual Superhero 5K is one of the organization's largest fundraisers of the year, enabling them to continue to support and fund their programs and mission, serving the families with babies in the NICU in need of transportation, mental health assistance and additional supportive services. Volunteers will be assisting with set up, registration/check in, craft activities, carnival games, obstacle course, water stations, finish line, and clean up. Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes Attire: Closed-toe shoes. Comfortable, weather appropriate clothing that is easy to move around in and can get dirty. Bring: Food trucks will be on site and vendor snacks will be available. Bringing water, hats and sunscreen is recommended. Physical Ability: Depending on your assigned area and during clean up you could be asked to help carry folding chairs and tables. This would not be the most suitable activity for those with disabilities. Weather: This event is outdoors with little/no shade. This event will take place rain or shine. Note: Waivers are required and available on Miracle Babies website. Registration for this event will close Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 12:00pm. Miracle Babies will be hosting quarterly drive through Diaper Distributions in the LA area. We will need volunteers to help set up the event, distribute the diapers into vehicles and clean up the event.
