CHIRLA'S (Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles) mission is to advance the human and civil rights of immigrants and refugees, promote harmonious multi-ethnic and multi-racial human relations and through coalition building, advocacy, community educational and organizing empower immigrants and their allies to build a more just society.

Description

We advocate, organize, and educate immigrant communities and the community at large regarding immigrant rights. We organize and provide workshops, presentations, outreach education, and community action. Our programs include but are not limited to, the house hold workers project, the day laborer project, youth organizing projects, and outreach film projects. CHIRLA meets with legislators and decision makers to develop just laws on behalf of immigrant rights.
