Description

Cities of Service is a national initiative to pair impact volunteering with a city's geratest need, be it neighborhood revitalization, beautification, clean up and more.

The City of Kettering, OH started its own Cities of Service initiative, "Kettering Cares", to revitalize the neighborhoods of Kettering. Each year, we will choose one neighborhood to focus on, and we will hold information sessions and give out resources to those who may be in need of assistance regarding home maintenance, outdoor maintenance, water conservation and more. We will also hold neighborhood events such as neighborhood garage sales and volunteer-led cleanup days as well as a summer block party to boost neighborhood pride.
