Mission Statement
Our Mission:We improve the lives of Kern County residents affected by Alzheimer's disease and related disorders.
Description
There are OVER 10,000 people in Kern County diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
The Alzheimer’s Disease Association of Kern County, Inc. (ADAKC) is a hidden jewel in the Bakersfield Community, helping families dealing with Alzheimer’s, dementia and related disorders.
ADAKC’s vision is that everyone in Kern County on the Alzheimer’s journey has the help and support they need. Respite day care at their centers gives caregivers time to step back and address their own needs.
ADAKC provides safe, loving environments where clients engage in activities, giving them much-needed socialization and stimulation. In addition to the day care, ADAKC supports caregivers by offering support groups and educational classes.
ADAKC is "Families Helping Families."
