Mission Statement

Southeastern Massachusetts Agricultural Partnership (SEMAP) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide business and technical education to agricultural enterprises in Southeastern Massachusetts, and to educate the public about the importance of local agriculture, thereby enabling local growers to achieve economic success.

Description

SEMAP works towards its mission through two main program areas:

1) Market Development. The goal of this program area is to increase demand locally for locally-produced agricultural products.

2) Business/Technical Assistance. The goal of this program area is to facilitate access to business, marketing, and technical assistance for Southeastern Massachusetts farms and to work to address unmet technical assistance needs.

We are a small organization with 2 full-time staff members, a volunteer Board, and several active committees that help to carry out much of our program and service work. Individual volunteers are greatly needed and warmly welcomed!
