At Ability Connection, our passion is providing the very highest quality care and support to children and adults with disabilities. Our organization has been building on this passion for over 58 years while continuing our commitment to level the playing field for those with disabilities. We empower individuals to live the best life possible by removing barriers that inhibit independence and autonomy. At Ability Connection, we focus on each person’s ability and believe in each individual’s potential for success.

Description

At Ability Connection New Mexico (ACNM), we understand that there are many different facets to living with a disability. Likewise, to better serve the community, ACNM offers services to help level the playing field and allow individuals to live more independently.

Ability Connection is making assistive technology more accessible to individuals with disabilities by providing different types of technology to individuals who can benefit from its use. Our Technology Initiative gives individuals with disabilities the opportunity to receive assistive or therapeutic equipment at no cost. There are two programs within Ability Connection’s Technology Initiative: Enabling Communication and Tech 4 Tots.

This was the opportunity to help out for a worthy cause for disabled people. The people at Thunderbird Harley Davidson and the Dirty Bourbon were awesome to work with and made it very easy to be there. Thank you very much I had a great time and met wonderful staff and volunteers. I hope to join you next year for a great night again. I can't say what was best because all of the events were fantastic the silent auction, The band and dancing, The models with the runway show, and then of course the mingling, the food and the drinks.
