The Anita Kaufmann Foundation(AKF) operates nationally and internationally and offers programs that are designed to eliminate stigma and increase awareness of epilepsy and traumatic brain injury and their impact on families and entire communities. As the only foundation in the world that focuses solely on educating the public about epilepsy and seizures, we offer epilepsy education as well as individual and US Veteran support initiatives. We are also the global sponsor of Purple Day, the largest epilepsy awareness initiative in the world, now celebrated in more than 130 countries worldwide.
