Mission Statement

The mission of Itsie Bitsie Rescue, Inc. is to provide shelter, development time, population control, and in time, permanent placement of un-weaned kittens and puppies, as well as abandoned exotics and livestock with special needs, in order to prevent the suffering and abandonment of neglected pets from the local communities. Itsie Bitsie Rescue, Inc. also provides counseling and support for members of our community who are caring for newborn kittens and/or puppies.

Description

As a non-profit organization Itsie Bitsie Rescue, Inc. depends on donations, grants and volunteers for its survival. The rescue has a few dependable and capable volunteers that have the knowledge and resources to look after the "bottle babies" in their care. The majority of the funding for the rescue comes from donations provided by loyal sponsors and adoption fees for our babies. The current group of volunteers has been working together for five years and they are strongly committed to the cause.

When most shelters receive animals that are pregnant, they are forced to euthanize the babies due to a lack of volunteers able to take on bottle babies. The mothers are usually considered adoptable. Itsie Bitsie Rescue swoops in and saves the bottle babies from certain death, giving them a second chance at life. They are in need of volunteers (fosters particularly) and donations.
