Care Dimensions enriches quality of life by providing expert care, support, education and consultation for those affected by life limiting illness, death and loss.
A not-for-profit organization, Care Dimensions provides care for patients in over 90 communities in Massachusetts, including the North Shore, Greater Boston, Metrowest and the Merrimack Valley.
We provide care wherever a patient calls home - in their own home, long term care facilities, assisted living communities, in hospitals and at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, our inpatient hospice facility in Danvers, MA. The Kaplan Family Hospice House was built in 2005 in a residential neighborhood, surrounded by marshland in Danvers, MA. It was designed to look and feel like home, with private patient suites, country kitchen, outdoor patios, landscaped gardens, and several living rooms where families can gather. The Kaplan House was expanded in 2010 to accommodate a growing need and now includes 20 private patient suites. We are planning to develop a similar Hospice House in the Greater Boston area in the future.
Our focus is on helping patients live each day to their fullest. We do this with expert pain and symptom management, an interdisciplinary team approach and complementary therapies, including massage, Reiki, pet, music and expressive arts therapies.
We care for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients. In addition, we also have specialized programs for Veteran’s, Dementia patients, Jewish Hospice Care and Cardiac and COPD/Respiratory Disease programs.
OurBertolonCenter for Grief & Healing is the only center of this type in the state. Our bereavement counselors offer care and support to anyone in the community suffering from a loss, including our patient’s families. The Bertolon Center also runs ongoing support groups and workshops throughout the region, most of which are free of charge and again open to anyone suffering from the loss of a loved one, regardless of hospice involvement. Each summer the Bertolon Center runs Camp Stepping Stones, a camp for children and their families who have lost a loved one. Our attendance is always strong and the experience for all involved is amazing.
