Description
Notre Dame Sisters are currently working in a wide range of service ministries throughout six states, and in Honduras. These ministries include elementary and high school teachers, college professors, hospital and police chaplains, nurse practioners, counselors in schools, shelters and drug-abuse centers, and much more. We have a commitment to the poor, and possess a history of supporting women, children and families, as well as providing safe, affordable housing for seniors. We work tirelessly to eliminate family violence, and have a focus to extend our non-violence work. We are located in the heart of Florence on 35th & State Streets. Our Motherhouse recently underwent renovations to add 30 additional units to the existing 77 units in Seven Oaks, which is located in Notre Dame Academy. Our Academy had its last graduating class in 1974, and each year alumnae still gather for reunions to celebrate the rich history of the Notre Dame Sisters and their treasured memories at Notre Dame Academy.
