Police & Working K-9 Foundation

Description

The Police and Working K-9 Foundation is a non-profit, all volunteer organization. We provide safety equipment such as customized K-9 bullet-proof vests, heat alarms for patrol cars and a special K-9 Trauma Kits for Police Dogs, sheriff's Search & Rescue K-9 teams and other law enforcement K-9s.

We have also worked with veterinary specialists to develop an 8-hour K9 Emergency Medicine Course that is offered to K-9 handlers at no charge twice a year. At the end of the course each K-9 handler is provided with a Cover Your K-9 Trauma Kit with extensive first aid supplies to help them assist their dog in the event of an emergency.

For those K-9s who have served their communities and retired, we have a Retired K-9 Emergency Medical Fund to help toward the cost of emergency veterinary care.

We have served over 500 K9 teams in Northern California and we are now expanding to areas of Southern California. We can use help to protect our K9 teams in all areas of the state!
