MISSION: KYI listens to and empowers youth and young adults and guides them in youth-directed and adult-mentorKYI wed initiatives.

VISION: KYI is the centerpoint where teens and young adults come together for healthy activities and to serve community members while devloping invaluable life skills that contribute to their well-being and their future successes.

THREE GOALS:

1, Provide healthy,drug-free alternative activities that are youth-led and adult-mentored.

2. Foster youth leadership and deliver valuable services to our community.

3. Support youth and young adults achieving successful entry into the workforce.

Description

KYI was formed in 2006 after the untimely death of two teens due to misuse of drugs. We are youth-operated and adult-mentored. Our main activities include a revenue generating woodsball paintball park, a newly developed concrete skatepark free to all users, and will soon expand to a two-level Youth Community Center. Our programming encompasses life skills and creative endeavors, many of which are directed towards serving the community and building young leaders.
