The mission of the Forest Park Zoological Society is to promote public awareness and appreciation for indigenous and exotic animals, and to provide educational programming for all ages that encourages understanding and respect for the natural environment. The animal collections and gardens enhance our perception of the natural world, and emphasize the importance of biodiversity. The Society is committed to inspiring conservation of our natural resources and protection for threatened and endangered species. The Forest Park Zoological Society will continue to maintain the highest standard of animal care, facility maintenance, and promote comprehensive educational programming opportunities for its members and regional community.

Description

The Zoo in Forest Park and Education Center offers guests the chance to experience animals from Barnyards, Backyards and Beyond. Get to know heritage breeds of live stock at our New England barnyard. See native wildlife and learn of creatures from far off lands. Enjoy the beautiful gardens and take in an educational program.

Can?t come to us? Have us come to you. Our outreach program provides live animals, biofacts, and a fun hands-on learning experience to learners of all ages at schools, day care centers, hospitals, retirement centers, camps, libraries and other public venues. These innovative programs emphasize connecting with animals by touching and up close viewing.
