Angels Gate Cultural Center is a place of creative discovery, exploration and enlightenment, providing Los Angeles Harbor region, the Southland community and visitors from around the world with opportunities for enrichment and education.
Angels Gate Cultural Center provides (1) innovative public arts programming, including exhibitions and performances of local, national and international artists, (2) high-quality arts education for children in the Los Angeles Harbor region, (3) services to professional artists and (4) community classes serving children and adults, primarily through the Studio Artist Program.
In addition, Angels Gate Cultural Center is one of the largest arts education hub in the South Bay and Los Angeles Harbor regions. Angels Gate Cultural Center’s Artists in Classrooms programs include Artists-in-Classrooms residencies, an Art Institute for Teachers, and Art + Exploration Field Trips. Our education programs adhere to state arts education guidelines (VAPA standards), and 85% of the schools we serve are eligible for Title 1 funding.
