Description

A 501c3 organization that was established by a group of concerned residents who realized that many animal welfare issues were not being addressed.

First program started in 2012 was Trap-Neuter-Return for feral felines that were living in various locations around the City. Currently partnering with the largest condo associations, the retirement home, the City and several individuals to promote the benefits of this program and establish colony feeders to maintain a limited but established food source for and health related oversight of these felines who have been spayed/neutered by a local veterinarian.

In 2013, we are starting a Dog Foster Program for canines that can no longer be kept by their current owners for various reasons. Before the City will turn over a canine to CoronadoCARES, it will be tested both for medical and behavioral issues by our veterinarian and a behavioral specialist. It is our hope and expectation to be able to find forever homes for these canines in a relatively short period of time by showcasing them on an ongoing basis.
