Academic Center of Excellence (ACE)

Description

Located primarily in high poverty communities and low-performing urban school districts, ACE sites are designed to build and strengthen relations and promote a college-going culture and academic competitiveness among students by making educational resources more accessible to the students in these communities. This is accomplished through seven key components: motivational seminars, parent education, K-12 academic assistance and enrichment, middle and high school college preparation and financial aid counseling, mentoring, health and wellness, and technology.
