Mission Statement

To be a magnet of learning through educational programs that nuture youth and adults in the diverse Richmond District; honoring the interconnectedness of life.

The Learning Programs of the CLC are free and low-cost programs that respond specifically to the needs of residents in the Richmond District and beyond.

CLC partners include The St James Preschool, CLC Learning Programs, and St. James Episcopal Church. All partners share values of generosity, compassion, kindness, love of learning, and service to the community.

Description

The Homework Help Cafe is a new Learning Program of the CLC, in partnership with the Beacon After School Program of the Richmond Neighborhood Center.

The Homework Help Cafe serves to education youth in San Francisco, strengthening community ties, and creating positive connections between those who might not otherwise meet - middle and high school students from diverse backgrounds.

The Cafe convense in a classroom at Roosevelt Middle School. High school students provide individual tutoring to middle school students, in two one and a half hour sessions a week, under the supervision of a credentialed teacher.
