Mission Statement
Help4Teenz is a Latino Coalition Project funded by the Department of Labor that transforms the lives of abused, neglected, adjudicated youth from some of the underserved and economically disadvantaged populations in the metropolitan Phoenix area. The youth have been exposed to difficult circumstances relating to substance abuse, domestic violence, crime, and poverty. The ethnic background of the youth population is 86% Hispanic, 8% Black, 6% White, and 5% other ethnic groups.
Description
Help4Teenz serves twice a week sixty (60), at risk or adjudicated youth from the ages of 13 to 21. Help4Teenz youth learn in a positive, safe, and secure environment. The Help4Teenz Program provides tutoring, anger management, leadership development, and job readiness services that helps the youth develop positive behaviors, strengths, abilities, and skills to build a better future.
