Our primary goals are to minimize the rates of juvenile incarceration, gang violence, teenage pregnancy, and substance/alcohol abuse while increasingthe high school graduation and employment rate of our youth within the communities we serve.
The mission of Teach One Academy is to M.otivate, E.ducate, and E.mpower our youth participants. Our participants are famous for saying "It's all about M.E.E."
Teach One Academy, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Dekalb county, provides a comprehensive wraparound set of services to youth (age 14-21), including those considered under-credited and over-aged (age 17-21), graduate from high school or obtain their GED, work with them to create post-secondary plans, set them on the right track to develop professionally, provide the training foundation to facilitate obtaining entry-level or higher employment in the career track of their choice, and overall make them stronger and more savvy young adults. We work with both youth participants and their families to make them successful in their academic, personal, and professional lives.
Our Multiple Pathways to Graduation and Professional Development model is a three-pronged approach that incorporates intense counseling, post-secondary education planning, and internship opportunities.
