Discover Albinism Uganda (DISAU) promotes albinism awareness and provides support to people with albinism and their affected families in Uganda.

Description

DISAU’s Albinism Awareness program aims at using the media to educate and defend people with albinism (PWA). It strongly emphasizes the understanding of albinism in the family sphere. It also focuses on simple genetic explanations as well as easy ways to live with and treat albinism. The support side of the organization includes a self-help project program, a student with albinism scholarship fund, as well as a sun safety and assistive device program.
