Mission Statement

We take dogs from the Monroe County Pound and put them in foster care until adopted. We also promote and educate about the necessity of spay/neutering of their pets. We hold spay/neuter clinics. We try to reduce the suffering of homeless animals.

Description

We take our dogs to adoption events, and in most cases do home inspections to be sure the adopter has a fenced yard and lives in a safe area. When we have spay/neuter clinics we have to clean crates for the event, and take crates so that the animals will have a place to stay while waiting and recovering from surgery, then the crates are cleaned again. We have approximately 70 dogs that we feed, clean stalls and exercise by walking or putting in an arena. We keep our dogs on monthly heartworm medication and frontline. We are supported by donations and we have fundraising events to bring in additional money. It costs approximately $4000 a month to operate. We are a 501(c)(3) non profit corporation, and we are registered with Georgia Charitable Solicitations Act/Charitable Organization Registration with Georgia Secretary of State.
