Mission Statement

Our mission is to build and support a path of personal growth for people with challenges, based on a foundation of positive relationships with people, animals, and Mother Nature. We wish to bring together our surrounding community and individuals with all different levels of physical, emotional and mental disabilities. We intend to encourage growth and respect of nature through interactive and challenging, hands-on experiences. Every human being has something marvelous to add to this world, and we want to see everyone shine.

Description

All riders participate in arena work and sensory games. Students start the lesson by grooming and interacting with their horse. They then mount and warm up using various stretches and exercises. Students will work on the skills they need to improve their riding in the arena, and then exit the arena for sensory games. Our sensory games are one-of-a-kind, and are placed around the property. Games are chosen by either the student or the instructor and are played while the student is mounted on their horse. The lessons break down, roughly, to: 15% tacking and grooming, 50% arena work, and 35% sensory games, based on each student’s individual needs.
