Our mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals who live with mental illnesses and their families by promoting the availability of effective services and resources, through education, support and advocacy.

Description

NAMI-Spartanburg Area is a non-profit, grassroots organization dedicated to improving the lives and treatment for those who suffer from a mental illness. NAMI-Spartanburg Area provides free education, support and advocacy for the mental ill and their families. The majority of funding for NAMI-Spartanburg Area comes from donations made by members of the local community, individuals and corporations alike. NAMI-Spartanburg Area is an affiliate of NAMI South Carolina and NAMI National.

I was an admin. Assistant with Georgia Options an agency that works with people with developmental disabilities. I also have a degree in social work from the university of Georgia. I want to volunteer and give back to my community.
