Mission Statement

We fulfilled a calling to help by volunteering in nursing homes. From this experience, we realized that there was a great need to serve the mentally handicapped community.

To that end, we formed job training internship programs to serve this demographic, which quickly grew to include veteran internships that were designed to help veterans adjust back into the civilian work force.

As a result of our efforts, coupled with funding from the State of Virginia, Community Resources Of America was able to place 24 people with secure employment. As the head of our nonprofit, Scott Brannon works with our team to move our organization, and those we serve, forward each day.

With 26 years of volunteer organization skills backing us up, Community Resources Of America is on a mission, and we look forward to answering our calling as we continue to serve our community.

Description

At Community Resources Of America, we understand that in order to change the future, we have to reach the youth of our community today. To that end, we have dedicated a significant portion of our resources and efforts to school based programs that are designed to bring this positive message to the future by way of children today.

When we bring our mascot, Charlie the Care-kat, into inner-city schools, he helps kids understand that they have the power to change the world, they do matter, and the American dream will be theirs when they harness the power of volunteering.
