Mission Statement

To maximize independence and opportunities for full participation in the community for individuals with cerebral palsy or other disabilities, and their families, by raising the standard for quality programs, service, and advocacy.

Description

United Cerebral Palsy of Land of Lincoln was founded in 1957 by a group of community leaders and parents of children with cerebral palsy. The group affiliated with United Cerebral Palsy, a national organization, in 1968. Originally founded as a school for children with disabilities, UCPLL's services have continually evolved to meet the changing needs of individuals and their families. Our mission is carried out through an array of dynamic and progressive programs for children and adults including early intervention services, Lekotek toy lending library, computer loan program, case management, transition, supported employment, advocacy, and assistive technology. UCPLL is accredited by the commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
