Description

The Humane Society of Northwest Montana is home to the Charlotte Edkins Animal Adoption Center and is located between two of the fastest growing cities in Montana, Whitefish and Kalispell. Our adoption center which opened its doors to the general public on July 1, 2004 consists of approximately 7,000 square feet and sits on fourteen acres off Highway 93. Governed by a Board of Directors, the Humane Society of Northwest Montana (HSNWMT) is a private, non-profit 501 (c)(3) limited admission, no-kill organization that focuses on finding caring, loving homes for orphaned cats and dogs and ending the destruction of healthy adoptable pets. Our Board of Directors consists of Flathead Valley residents who are concerned about animal welfare and who live and work in the area. The HSNWMT staff consists of a dedicated team of animal care and administrative professionals. As strong supporters of early age spaying and neutering, all cats and dogs that are adopted from the Charlotte Edkins Animal Adoption Center are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped prior to adoption, including kittens and puppies.
