We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running
Girls on the Run of Northeast Indiana is a council of the international nonprofit organization, Girls on the Run. We serve girls in grades 3-8 with two sets of curriculum: one geared towards elementary-school girls, and the other towards middle school girls.
Girls meet in teams of 8-15 at various sites throughout Allen County twice weekly for a 10 week season. At each meeting, the girls work through a life lesson (such as peer pressure, healthy living, etc.) and a game or a workout that involves running. The program is designed to prepare girls to complete a 5K event. The program culminates with the participants finishing a 5K race.
