Mission Statement

The White Eagle Multicultural Pow Wow's mission is to bring families of all Races together, to bring down the walls of minunderstanding, to share a little of all heritages through the universal language of drumming, music, dance, sotry and foods, to lessen discrimination, and to 'Make the World a Better Place to Live'.

Description

The White Eagle Pow Wow is a festival of all races--Red, Yellow, Black and White sponsored by Native Americans and orchestrated entirely by volunteers An educational and informational continuous program from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon in colorful regalia, this one of a kind event is held annually on the 4th full weekend in August (Aug 23-25, 2013). Grand entries held throughout the weekend are led by the Armed Forces Honor Guard, followed by Native American dancers and entertainers of all races and many ethnic backgrounds. Children's crafts bring together children of every race to share in the creation of unique ethnic crafts. The youth participate in a pizza party and teen dance and movie night with popcorn and treats. The White Eagle Bed and Breakfast on Friday and Saturday nights during the Pow Wow weekend gives those with reservations the opportunity to spend a night in a tipi (tepee) and have breakfast with a story telling, American Indian--a truly enriching, unforgettable experience.
