Mission Statement

PlaySafe works to educate, promote, support and foster healthy lifestyles, wellness and safe athletic participation in active youth, young adults and the community at large.

Description

An estimated 1.2 million injuries occurred in high school athletics
from an estimated 7.4 million high school student participants last
year. 40% of those injuries occurred during practice. 23% of the
injuries affected the head and or face of the student athlete. Most
high schools in the state do not have a certified athletic trainer
available to the student athletes as the state does not provide/fund
this service. Play Safe was formed by concerned leaders in our
community who believe the safety of our children is extremely
important and proper care of the athlete when an injury occurs is
critical.

Play Safe exists to ensure Sports Medicine Services/Athletic Trainers
are available to high schools in our communities. I would love to
further discuss any funding that Certus Bank may have to help sustain
our mission within the community.
