Description

Programs we provide free of charge:

KIDS are VIPS-daily living skills, braille, computers and electric note takers, peer support, advocacy and career exploration for those under age 18.

Independent Living Skills-techniques used in daily activities, including cooking, organization, home management and signature writing.

Braille Insruction-instruction in Literary, Nemeth and computer Braille codes.

Computer Training-uses assistive technology. Developes skills in JAWS, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access e-mail, Navigating the internet.

Braille - Note/Voice-learn how to use the word processor, address book and planner.

Support Groups for Visually Impaired, family & friends-Offers ideas and suggestionsto minimize frustrations encountered on a daily basis.

Community Connections-Provides information and refers individuals to the proper agencies and organizations.
