Macedonia MBC Operation Hope

Description

Macedonia MBC Operation Hope rebuilds families through programs that promote holistic change by investing in the education, employment, and personal care systems of low-income Tacoma/Pierce County WA, men, women and youth. Since its inception in 1996 we have provided direct services to over 7300 individuals and families. Many of the people Macedonia MBC Operation Hope serves lack role models and most do not have the basic skills needed to find a job. The longer these people are out of school and unemployed, the greater their risk of succumbing to criminal activity, substance abuse, and HIV infection. Macedonia MBC Operation Hope not only improves their prospects for individual achievement, but also helps to contribute to the long-term stability and safety of our community, reducing the rate of new HIV infections, unemployment and recidivism by offenders and ex-offenders.
