Mission Statement
The mission of the Tacoma Farmers Market is to enhance the quality of life in the Tacoma/Pierce county area by providing a thriving farmers market. Our vision is to serve as the community's preferred source for local farm and artisan products, farm-related community outreach, and as an educational and social forum.
Description
The Tacoma Farmers Market operates three times a week for a limited season: Thursdays 10-3 May through Oct on Broadway Street and Tuesdays 3-7 May through Sept. on 6th Ave and Pine St and Sundays 11am-3pm May through Sept. on Sundays at STAR Park, S. 66th and South Tacoma Way. The markets are open air and include vendors selling produce, nursery plants, crafts, prepared food and processed goods. Everything sold is hand-crafted or grown in Washington State or its surrounding counties. Live entertainment is scheduled each week and several special events days are planned throughout the season.
