Support Services
VEC provides outreach, information and referral, translation, and consultation services to seniors, Filipino World War II Veterans and their families.

Bill Sorro Housing Program
The Bill Sorro Housing Program (BiSHoP) seeks to provide an array of free services through our monthly housing clinic where social workers, attorneys, community advocates, legal workers, and other services providers from various backgrounds collaborate in educating the community on pertinent housing issues as well as providing drop in counseling to those with specific housing problems. Computer Skills Class
We provide an introduction to basic computer class to teach the seniors the fundamentals such as usage of the mouse, keyboard techniques in typing and familiarity with the components that are used in a computer. In this class, we ensure that we cater to their pace.

Arts and Crafts
Our arts and crafts program provides a variety of choices like knitting, crocheting, jewelry making, family tree sketching and lantern/parol making. This provides an avenue for the veterans, their wives and widows as well as other seniors to engage themselves ina positive outlet for expression and creativity.

Legal Clinic
VEC provides free legal service every first and third Friday of the month, 2-4 PM. Clients are served on a first come, first serve basis. Priority is given to WWII veterans and their immediate family.

Educational Forum
SF VEC provides legislative updates and information regarding current and proposed benefits for Filipino WWII veterans.

Recreational and Social Activities
The center provides a safe environment for elderly war veterans to socialize and engage in group activities during the day.

Advocacy
The SF VEC is an advocate for veterans’ equity, decent and affordable housing and access to culturally sensitive services for Filipino veterans and older adults.
