ARF-ARF provides a healthy resource to foster the fitness and social growth of dogs and their owners. This group also works for increased leashed and off-leash recreation opportunities for responsible dog owners, guardians, and for their companions.

Description

ARF-ARF is a nonprofit and tax-exempt organization committed to assisting the people of Rockaway, New York and of "The Rockaway Freeway Dog Park," Rockaway’s official off-leash dog park. ARF-ARF believes the Rockaway Freeway Dog Park is a vital community asset, and, in partnership with the City of New York and the Department of Parks, acts as a steward of this park so that Rockaway’s canine residents and their friends can experience a clean, safe and vibrant environment. ARF-ARF promotes responsible dog ownership and care so that the community can enjoy the presence of well behaved dogs. ARF-ARF also unites residents of Rockaway with low cost or free services that benefit the health and happiness of their animals, which in turn keeps their humans healthy and happy.
