Mission Statement

dance4life is a global movement that inspires and educates youth ages 10 - 25 about their sexual and reproductive health and rights, LGBT issues and HIV/AIDS using music and dance. We have programs in 27 countries including Russia, Indonesia, Kenya, India and Uganda. Our 4 step model- inspire, educate, activate and celebrate - mobilizes youth in schools and community organizations around the world.

dance4life reaches youth by embracing elements of youth culture - such as music, dance, fashion and celebrities - to not only attract young people, but to also keep them involved and inspire them towards action. We don’t begin the conversation by talking about sexual health, LGBT issues or HIV/AIDS - we begin by using music and dance - getting youth past their comfort zones. We believe in leveraging what young people are passionate about and engaging them to introduce comprehensive sexuality education in a fun, cool and approachable way.

dance4life USA, Inc. is looking for additional Board Members to support its fast-growing, cutting-edge work for sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), both in the U.S. and beyond. dance4life engages youth to participate in education programs through music and dance, and has a loyal, broad following among youth around the world. dance4life uses strong branding and experiential marketing, providing an experience that is personal, interactive, and emotional. dance4life operates with forward-thinking corporate partners, our individual-level giving program, and dance4life celebrity ambassadors. We are seeking individuals concerned with the development of the vision, strategy and strategic plan for the organization, which includes creating a business model for funding and implementing that plan. The right board is necessary to scale dance4life into multiple cities with robust funding, solid non-profit partnerships and a broad outreach throughout diverse communities of youth.
