The mission of Serenity Palliative & Hospice Care - Northeast GA is to form life-long relationships as a hospice organization. Our service emphasis is the total and autonomous palliative and supportive care for the terminally ill and their families, coordinated by our Hospice Care Team. We seek to meet the physical, social, spiritual and emotional needs of patients and their families, to offer dignity, security and quality care ... and to be there to listen, support and touch.

Description

Hospice is a special kind of care designed to provide comfort and support to patients facing a terminal illness and their families. Medical and support services, including nursing care, social services, physician services, counseling, homemaker services, hospice aides, and trained volunteers help the patient and caregiver to cope with the illness. Hospice services may be provided in the patient's home, a skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility or hospital - or anywhere the patient calls home.
