Mission Statement

The purpose of the Huntington Beach Community Garden is to educate children and adults about organic gardening and to provide and area where individuals and families can grow fruit, vegetables, flowers and herbs for their own use and for local food banks.

Description

The Huntington Beach Community Garden has 110 garden plots about 15'x20' for individuals to rent on an annual basis for a nominal fee. Gardeners pledge 10% of their yield for distribution to local food banks and charities. HBCG coordinates educational sessions to provide public education about organic gardening techniques.
