Mission Statement: Life Chocie Hospice is committed to providing quality care for patients faced with a life-limiting illness. The goal is to improve the quaity of a person's life through pain and symptom control, emotional and spiritual support. We believe that the patient and family is an integral decision making member of the hospice team in planning and receiving care. Hospice offers an alternative to repeat hospitalizations. Hospice affirms life. It neither hastens nor postpones death, but assists the patient and family in living with a life-limiting illness. Hospice regards dying as a normal process at life's end in which we can provide dignity and comfort the for the patient and loved ones.

Description

Our hospice is looking to "celebrate" life with our patients and their families. We celebrate birthdays and anniversaries and certain milestones in a patient's life. We comfort our patients with reading to them and singing with them. We watch television and play games for entertainment. We share our trained pets to give us hapiness. We hold hands to know that we are not alone or forgotten.
