Mission Statement

The OMI-NIA has a collaborative within itself that called the Ocean Avenue Revitalization Collaborative (OARC). Following is the mission statement of the OARC:

The Ocean Avenue Revitalization Collaborative is a volunteer collaborative of committed neighborhood residents, merchants and community organizations. The general goal of the collaborative is to foster improvements along the Ocean Avenue commercial corridor to make it both a more attractive and vital commercial corridor.

Description

The OMI-NIA is a multi-neighborhood group that has existed for many years in the southwest part of San Francisco. Spelled,out, OMI-NIA stands for Oceanview-Merced Heights-Ingleside Neighbors in Action. The group has been active throughout the years in working with merchants and other community groups in the area.

OMI-NIA is very focused on making the neighborhoods cleaner, safer, healthier, and in knitting neighbors together to make life better in this oft-neglected corner of the city. Great way to improve Oceanview, Merced Heights, and Ingleside!
