Universal Health - Hospice

Description

Volunteers are the heart of hospice. They provide companionship and support to patients and their families. Duties usually include sitting with the patient to provide support and companionship by offering a sympathetic ear. Volunteers provide needed "respite" (break time) for the family caregiver, or may also work in our new hospice inpatient facility. Some volunteers prefer to help in the office, assist with bereavement services or help with special activities and events. Our volunteers learn that when you give, you get more in return, and what a priviledge it is to work withfamilies dealing with a life threatening illness or disease.
