Lyra Music

Description

Lyra Music is an organization that hosts music educational events and opportunites to the community of Vermont, New York City, and neighboring states.

Our main event of the year is the Lyra Summer Music Workshop, a 3-week summer program held in the beautiful town of Randolph, VT, hosted at the Chandler Center for the Arts and Vermont Technical College. Piano and string students of all ages and levels immerse themselves in a supportive, musical environment; intensively study solo and chamber music repertoire with New York City Artists and world-class Guest Artists; and share their performances with the surrounding community -- all within a fun and energetic atmosphere.

Throughout the winter and spring seasons, Lyra Music organizes group concert outings for students in New York City and Boston. We organize faculty and guest artists outreach concerts and fundraising concerts throughout the New England area. In addition, we hold our annual youth competition in New York City, awarding winners cash prizes and scholarships.
