Mission Statement
CWA is a non-partisan, statewide network that champions economic security, social justice, and political power for all women in Colorado through community education, political advocacy, communications, and grassroots education.
Description
Women's Agenda works to give the most at-risk, economically vulnerable and politically disenfranchised women the information, training, and tools they need to become leaders and advocates for progressive public policies in areas of fair wages and benefits, public assistance programs, civil rights, women's health, affordable housing, domestic violence, and care giving. Thus, our activities are all aimed at engaging women in solving the problems of persistent and concentrated gender oppression in Colorado. CWA works with several coalitions such as All Families Deserve a Chance and Economic Self-Sufficiency Standard. Our programs range from Volunteer Lobbyist, Legislative Scorecard, Get Out the Vote, and internships. Specific emphases for 2006-7 are anti-racism and grassroots organizing.
