The mission of Rotary is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.

The Highland Park - Highwood Rotary Club is part of this global network of volunteers that comprises about 32,00 clubs in more than 200 countries. Its mission is to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace throughout the world.

Description

The Rotary Club of Highland Park Highwood has been supporting charities in the community since 1927. The Rotary Club is active throughout the community sponsoring the Rotary Interact Club at the high school, providing support to deserving groups including the Lake County Veterans and Family Services, and the troops at The Great Lakes Naval Station. In conjunction with the First Bank of Highland Park, the Highland Park Highwood Rotary Club is nearing completion of the second Financial Literacy program for high school students. Rotary might best be know for the countless scholarships that have been awarded over the years ensuring a bright future for many of our students.
