Mission Statement

Rockwall Pets is an all-volunteer Texas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit company formed by dedicated No Kill advocates. We use innovative programs to get pets out of shelters alive. Shelter killing is the number one cause of death for healthy dogs and cats in the United States. Statistics prove there are more than enough homes for all homeless pets. We believe that by convincing more people to adopt instead of buying their next dog or cat, we can save the lives of pets who are currently being put down in area shelters. Nearly every pet we have available for adoption is a healthy or treatable pet who was at risk of being killed at a shelter. Our ultimate goal is to help make Texas one of the first No Kill states in America. We'd love to have you on the team...and so would the pets we save! Find out about volunteering or fostering today!

At Rockwall Pets, our mission is to save every precious life possible. That’s why nearly every pet we offer for adoption was at risk of being put down at an area animal shelter. We believe in these pets, so we rescue them, give them full veterinary care and then place them into loving homes.

Thanks to the generosity of caring people like you, we led Rockwall to become one of the leading No Kill communities in America. We’re now spreading our lifesaving mission throughout Rockwall and Dallas counties and beyond.
