Mission Statement

Inspired by Christ's compassion, and in collaboration with community resources, A Place Of New Beginnings offers support and direction to released inmates, providing an opportunity for them to re-enter society as productive and responsible citizens.

Description

A Place Of New Beginnings is a faith-based, non-profit re-entry program serving the needs of men and women released from the Chesapeake Correctional Center, or released from any jail or prison and residing in Chesapeake.

We offer the following services:

  • Spiritual Counseling
  • Biblical Life Skills classes
  • Case management
  • Job-hunting assistance
  • Assistance with resumes
  • Interview preparation
  • Supplying hygiene products
  • Referrals for drug rehab programs and completion of GEDs

A successful re-entry experience depends on a program of excellence for the released inmate; the strength of the community; and the commitment of individuals to see lives changed.
