Organization Information

Mission Statement

Our organization is pleased to be a part of the national network to help people with Medicare get the assistance/information they may need to benefit from Medicare's health and prescription drug coverage. Organizations, like the SHIPs and their volunteers nationwide have come together to help people with Medicare understand their options and make an informed, meaningful decision about their prescription drug and health plan options. The SHIPs are now administered by the Administration on Community Living (ACL) with support from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Nationally the SHIPs are committed to building an official corps of volunteers who are available to help people with Medicare in communities nationwide understand their Medicare benefits.

Description

Our organization is providing free, one-on-one assistance to people with Medicare and their families via telephone and face-to-face sessions, public education presentations and other programs. Through the CMS MedicareRx Volunteer Initiative, volunteers at our organization will be given the opportunity to work directly with people with Medicare to help them understand their prescription drug plan options and join a plan that will best suit their prescription drug needs if they choose.

I've always wanted to volunteer with a health program and what better program then with a insurance medical program.
