Cat Care/ Cleaning volunteers are needed for our satellite adoption location in Niagara Falls. These volunteers help with basic cat care and cleaning of the cages and/or free-roaming feline rooms within these locations. Each location’s set-up varies, but duties generally include giving fresh food and water, scooping litter boxes, cleaning cages, washing dishes, etc. This is a great opportunity for volunteers to spend one-on-one, direct time and contact with cats. Volunteers at our off-site locations are encouraged to spend time socializing with the cats once all cleaning and feeding duties are complete. Must be able to bend and lift up to 30 pounds Must be able to kneel on the floor as needed Experience caring for/handling cats is strongly preferred Compassion towards animals Must be able to work along side store staff, other volunteers, and visitors Reliable transportation Must be able to commit to a scheduled shift

Duties include giving fresh food and water, scooping litter boxes, sweeping and mopping floors, washing dishes, etc. Must be able to bend and lift up to 30 pounds Must be able to kneel on the floor as needed Experience caring for/handling cats is preferred but not required Compassion towards animals Must be able to work along side other volunteers, staff, and guests at our shelter Reliable transportation Commitment to a scheduled shift is preferred, but some flexibility is available Students fulfilling volunteer hours, companies or groups are welcome to volunteer!

These volunteers help with basic cat care and cleaning of the cages and/or free-roaming feline rooms within these locations. Each location’s set-up varies, but duties generally include giving fresh food and water, scooping litter boxes, cleaning cages, washing dishes, etc. This is a great opportunity for volunteers to spend one-on-one, direct time and contact with cats. This location is need of volunteer cleaners on Tuesdays, Thursdays or Saturdays, AM & PM shifts.
