Dignity is accepting massage volunteers at this time. It has been a long year without volunteers and we are ready to have you back. Massage volunteers are finding their way back to hospice patients as the facilities open up. If you are interested in volunteering and have your massage therapist license please reach out, we can begin the onboarding process as it always takes some time to get the paperwork and training completed. Our vibrant, personalized hospice company, Dignity Hospice of Colorado, is looking for Medically Trained LMT's to provide care to our patients at the facilities and home locations. We offer extensive training in hospice care, in addition to the skill you bring as a Volunteer Massage Therapist. Reach out, we would love to hear from you. To start the training process we do background checks, CPR is required, TB tests, and in the fall require the Flu shot. The COVID vaccine is also required by our company and facilities are requesting it to visit patients, some still rehave weekly COVID testing done. We do require computer knowlege as we write our visit notes in our medical EMR. Dignity has on-going continuing education required, mostly on line, and we do make it fun. Opportunities are available in the Front Range of Denver, Boulder, Longmont, Brighton, Greeley, Windsor and Ft. Collins. The Volunteer Coordinator will match you with hospice patients near your home or work so that it's convenient for you. Times and frequency of visits are flexible to meet your needs. Our Patients are all seniors mostly between the ages of 70-100. The Dignity Patients reside in Skilled Nursing, Assisted Senior Living Residences, and private homes. Please reach out if this is an opportunity you have been looking for. Volunteers are the heart of hospice and we need you. Thank you, W.

Seeking Hospice Volunteers: The COVID-19 restrictions are being lifted and we are in need of more volunteers to join our Dignity team. The volunteers have many opportunities to choose from; in-person visits, music, art, mailings, bereavement assistance, cards, 11th-hour visits, and office administration hours. At this time facilities are opening to volunteers with guidelines and always changing requirements. We are seeking volunteers who want to get involved and begin the training process. Becoming a Hospice Volunteer is an amazing opportunity to share your time, talents, heart, and presence with people and their families facing end-of-life issues. Hospice Volunteers are needed to provide non-medical supportive services such as companionship visits, engage in life-review, read, play music, watch TV/movies, alternative healing therapies, respite-care, compassionate presence, veteran to veteran connections, and bereavement support. As a Volunteer, you are an integral member of the amazing hospice team and are provided with free comprehensive training so that you feel confident and comfortable providing your volunteer service. We value your time and want to provide opportunities for service that utilize your skills, gifts, and talents in a meaningful way. You will be supported each step of your journey with great appreciation! To start the training process we do background checks, CPR is required, TB tests, and in the fall require the Flu shot. The COVID vaccine is also required by our company and facilities are requesting it to visit patients, some still rehave weekly COVID testing done. Pet Therapy Volunteers in hospice- We are looking for volunteers and their pets who want to get involved with hospice and our Pts. Pets have a huge impact on peoples lives and if you have the time and a great dog with a pet therapy license or want to get started on this process with your dog, please let us know! The process of onboarding and training does take some time, but well worth it. Please reach out if you would like to begin the road to be a hospice volunteer with your pet. Dignity Hospice of Colorado is building a dedicated, energetic team of Animal Assisted Therapists to serve the front range area, to include: Littleton, Denver, Boulder, Brighton, all the spaces in between, and also North Colorado: Ft. Collins, Longmont, Loveland, Greeley, and Windsor. Animal Therapy Teams are one of the gems of hospice care, offering companionship and joy to patients and their families. The appreciation of an animal's love can lift people's souls and give them a spark of light and joy. We provide hospice care with our patients who reside in a variety of settings, including skilled nursing facilities, residential homes, and independent senior living apartments. Our hospice serves seniors exclusively, the majority of whom are between the ages of 70 to 100 years, with various diagnoses. To start the training process we do background checks, CPR is required, TB tests, and in the fall require the Flu shot. The COVID vaccine is also required by our company and facilities are requiring them to visit patients. We do require computer knowlege as we write our visit notes in our medical EMR. Dignity has on-going continuing education, mostly on line, and we do make it fun. The Volunteer Coordinator will match you with hospice patients near your home or work so that it's convenient for you. Times and frequency of visits are flexible to meet your needs. Dogs and other pets are such a comfort, and a welcome distraction to hospice patients, their families, and the staff at the facilities. You will need to have a dog/pet Therapy Certification in order to have your animal with you during visits. We recommend www.therapydogs.com for your Pet Therapy Certificates, and this organization does have Liability Insurace which we will also need. Please reach out with any questions.
